Burn-Out at hrdiamonds: Why Prevention Is Now More Important Than Ever

We at hrdiamonds were deeply affected by a recent article published on derStandard, which states that around 40 percent of adult Austrians show signs of burn-out syndrome, with 8 percent even being classified as mentally ill as part of their burn-out. These figures come from a comprehensive scientific study on mental illness in Austria, conducted by the Medical University of Vienna.

The findings from this article are clear: burn-out is a highly relevant issue that must be taken seriously. It is neither a passing fad nor merely a sign of stress, but a syndrome with serious consequences for those affected and their personal and professional environment.

At hrdiamonds, we are strongly committed to helping companies design their working environment in a way that minimizes the risk of burnout. We offer companies and employees information, reflection and learning opportunities to deal with this important topic, as well as tools to strengthen personal and corporate resilience. Every company can contribute to this by looking after its employees and taking preventative measures against burnout.

How do we design resilience training at hrdiamonds?

It is particularly important to us to provide participants with well-founded information and to convey the basics of topics such as stress, mental health, burnout, and resilience. Among other things, we cover the Lazarus stress model, the model for recognizing burn-out and the 6 resilience factors. In addition to interactive teaching content, we attach great importance to personal reflection on individual stress factors. Of course, practical tips and tricks are also included. This incorporates specific relaxation exercises (e.g. breathing techniques) and information on strengthening your own self-efficacy as well as recognizing signs of mental crises in other people.
