Last week we had the pleasure of attending the Future Day 2023 (Zukunftstag 2023) of the Wiener Wirtschaft and we are thrilled with the exciting presentations we were able to experience there. We would like to share some of the highlights:
Matthias Strolz, entrepreneur and artist, introduced us to his thoughts on moving into new times. He emphasized the need to find our way in a VUCA world (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambivalent).
The key message: We need to cultivate our ability to make decisions and take action and develop positive strategies to minimize the risk of exhaustion, cynicism, illness or burnout.
Prof. Dr. Sigrid Stagl, Professor of Environmental Economics and Policy at the Vienna University of Economics, presented the latest findings from climate and biodiversity research, ecological economics and energy transition research. Her findings underline the urgent need for a socio-ecological transformation. Her words are a call to rethink and actively shape a sustainable future.
Anitra Eggler, described by ORF as "the most sought-after female voice on digitalization", gave us valuable insights into how we can find a healthy screen-life balance. In a world of constant distraction, a flood of emails and messages and meeting inflation, she revealed the superpower of "being undistractable" (Stanford University) as the key to smarter work and a more enjoyable life. With less stress and more time for what really matters, she shows us how to increase our self-leadership, motivation and productivity.
These inspiring perspectives and insights have strengthened our conviction that we already consider and actively implement many of these principles in our daily work.
At the same time, we are always open to new insights and look forward to continuously learning and refining our approach.
Together we are shaping a promising future!
