You've probably already heard of one of our favorite models: the PERMA or PERMA-Lead® model according to Dr. Markus Ebner. We like to use this model in our workshops and training sessions to make tangible what employees need in oder to grow and flourish in the workplace.
The PERMA model is an approach in positive psychology, which is a branch of psychology that focuses on the study and promotion of positive aspects of human life such as happiness, well-being, strengths and resilience. "PERMA" stands for five dimensions that make up and influence a fulfilling (working) life:
- Positive Emotions.
- Engagement.
- Relationships.
- Meaning.
- Accomplishment.
We use this valuable model not only when working with our customers, but also in-house. Our PERMA experts, psychologist Anna Obkircher and Benjamin Dittmoser-Pfeifer, first provided us with inspiring input at the summer retreat, which was well received by everyone in the team - both newcomers and "old hands" in the PERMA field. And afterwards, a "PERMA Café" took place, where we got together in groups to talk specifically about which dimensions we are already implemneting in the company and where there are still blind spots or potential for improvement.
It was a great experience that further strengthened us as a team. We look forward to continuing to use the PERMA model both internally and in our work with clients!
